Cost-Based Approach to Complexity: A Common Denominator?

Complexity remains one of the central challenges in science and technology. Although several approaches at defining and/or quantifying complexity have been proposed, some point each them seems to run into intrinsic limitations or mutual disagreement. Two are main objectives present work: (i) review complexity; (ii) suggest a cost-based approach that, great extent, can be understood as an integration facets while keeping its meaning for humans mind. More specifically, it is poised that complexity, inherently relative subjective concept, summarized cost developing model, plus respective operation. As consequence, vary along time space. The proposal illustrated respectively applications examples, including real-data base situation.
